Tenants At Danville Mall Asked To Leave

Danville, VA -- With new ownership, the Danville Mall is going through a lot of changes. But not everyone is happy about it.

That's because nine stores, that are even under a lease, have been told to leave. Most of the stores are locally owned and have been in that space for years. Those owners are very upset, especially since they don't know where to go.

July Vo works for Rose's Nail and says the owners hope to start their business somewhere else, but have been put in a bad position.

"The way I look at it, it's really unfair. We with the mall a long time, our customers with us but certainly they give us a very short notice," said Vo.

The new owners say they are working with those businesses to make the transition easier. They say they have had years of experience and they know what tenants are necessary to create a successful mall.
