Teenagers Charged for Stealing & Killing Dog in Pittsylvania Co.

Pittsylvania Co., VA - The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office says two 17-year-olds are facing charges for stealing and killing someone's dog.

Investigators started looking into this case Tuesday after getting a complaint from a Blairs man who said his dog had been missing since March or April of this year.

On Wednesday, the Sheriff's Office had enough evidence to charge two teenage boys.

Investigators say the boys stole the dog and then killed it to cover up their crime.

Both boys are being held in the W.W. Moore Detention Center in Danville.
