When the Spartans needed her most, Tay Taylor delivered. On state quarterfinal weekend, Taylor was at her best scoring 19 points to help lead Salem to a win over Broadway. With Taylor on the team, Salem has now appeared in two straight Final Fours.
She averaged 17 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals per game. Those statistics enabled her to be named First Team All River Ridge District, First Team All-Region IV.
Salem coach DeWayne Harrell says, "Tay has improved as an individual player, as well as a team player every year she has been at Salem High School. Her ability to attack the basket, as well as pass to open teammate is a big reason for our success over the last three years."
