Danville, VA-- Nearly 500 people got together Saturday in Danville for some cooking tips from the professionals.
The fourth annual Taste of Home Cooking Show was held at the Institute for Advanced Learning. Taste of Home is a cooking magazine. They also have a traveling chef that does cooking demonstrations.
Danville was their last stop for this season. It was a chance for people to learn some new recipes, just in time for the Holidays.
"Folks here today really enjoy cooking and really enjoy food so you'll have people of all ages in there, there's men and women in there, there's just people who enjoy cooking food and having a good time in the kitchen," said one of the organizers, Steven Kaylor.
Organizers for the event also used this opportunity to help out God's Storehouse. They raised 600 pounds of food, and $250 for the organization.
