Taking Care of Dogs During High Temperatures
Lynchburg, VA -The Lynchburg Humane Society is taking the heat seriously making sure the dogs are kept as cool as possible.
Right now, the dogs aren't being walked as often. The staff is using fans, spraying down kennels and keeping the water dishes full.
Outreach Coordinator Kim Haywood says the staff is doing whatever they can to keep these animals cool.
"If they do seem to be overheated we'll take precautionary measures for that. Adopt them and get them out of here into your air conditioned homes," she said.
There is a special going on Friday and Saturday: Adopting a dog is half off.
