Suspect in Appomattox Murder Waives Preliminary Hearing
Appomattox, VA - The man accused of killing his estranged wife at an Appomattox gas station earlier this year waived the right to his preliminary hearing on Thursday.
Sixty-nine-year-old Aubrey Evans, III is charged with the first degree murder of 45-year-old Laura Evans.
Investigators say on January 31, he shot Laura Evans at the Marathon gas station.
He was arrested a few days later in Washington County, near Bristol.
This case will go before a grand jury on June 3rd.
