Lexington, VA - A new survey shows that Washington and Lee University's president was the highest-paid private college leader in the state in 2011.
The survey comes from the Chronicle of Higher Education.
It says Kenneth Ruscio's total compensation in 2011 was more than $922,000.
The survey ranked Ruscio 52nd among 500 private college presidents nationwide.
University of Richmond President Edward Ayers was ranked 68th on the list. His total compensation in 2011 was a little more than $836,000.
