Lynchburg, VA - The halls at Linkhorne Middle School in Lynchburg were filled with pink Wednesday.
Some 8th graders had a Pink Out day for breast cancer.
During lunch, they held a memorial complete with music for those who have died, who are fighting and those who have fought the disease and won.
"It's important for us to take part in a day like today to remember those survivors of breast cancer and all that they have gone through just so that people that are going through it know that we care and that we are here for them," said Carter Leverette, a student.
Linkhorne Middle's assistant principal, whose mother fought breast cancer, helped organize the day.
