Gretna, VA -- Some Southside business got hit pretty hard by Thursday night's storm.Blair Construction in Gretna had approximately $60,000 to $80,000 worth of damage.
According to Vice President of Blair Construction Tim Clark, the roof of their main building got completely torn off by the wind gusts. The roof flew into another building, causing even more damage, and then landed in a lot.
Because Blair Construction fixes this type of damage, they were able to get the building dried today and fixed as soon as possible. Thankfully, no one was hurt but it did scare some folks.
"We heard the wind and felt the wind, and people were kind of anxious when it was happening and then all of a sudden you felt a rush of air and you heard a big thud," said Clark.
Deering's Garage in Cascade also got damaged. The roof of a storage building was destroyed by the storm.
