Blacksburg, VA - There is another legal move in the Virginia Tech wrongful death lawsuit.
The state is now asking the Virginia Supreme Court to set aside a jury's findings in favor of the families of two students who were killed in the 2007 shooting.
Attorneys representing the state filed the request Thursday.
They want to overturn the jury's verdict from one year ago that found the state negligent in the deaths of Julia Pryde and Erin Peterson.
In its appeal, the state says there were several trial errors.
