Southern Virginia Higher Education Center Receives Over $180,000 in Grants
South Boston, VA-- Some great news for the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center in South Boston.
They just announced they've received two grants from the Tobacco Commission to help with their mission of preparing people for the workforce.
They got a $163,750 grant toward funding their Advanced Manufacturing Bootcamp initiative.
They also got another $20,886 grant that will be used for the first group of participants in the center's new welding lab.
