UPDATE: Some Secondary Roads Still Closed From High Water
UPDATE: 10:59 a.m.
Bedford Co., VA - As more storms move through the area, several roads in the region remain closed due to last week's rain.
According to VDOT's website, there are eight roads closed in Bedford County alone.
Most of the closed roads are secondary roads, and VDOT says not to try to cross high water if you see it crossing the roadway. Instead, turn around. The water may not look deep, but road conditions underneath the water aren't always clear to the driver. In some cases, there may not even be a road to drive on.
Several other roads are closed in Botetourt, Roanoke, and Charlotte Counties.
