Snow Will End Tongiht, Watch for Icy Spots

UPDATE: 4:44 p.m.

Lynchburg, VA - Persistent bands of snow continue across Pittsylvania, Halifax, Charlotte, Mecklenburg, Lynchburg City, Amherst, Prince Edward, and Amherst Counties Saturday, but the activity is starting to die off Saturday Evening.

A few slick spots are possible tonight.

Accumulations ranged from an inch or two, but most roadways are expected to be okay. Still, you should watch for slick spots if you plan on being out and about Saturday.

To the west, into Bedford and Roanoke back toward the New River Valley, only a few flurries were reported.

In an rare event, This system hit Central and Southside Virginia more than the mountains.

The radar is finally starting to fade across North Carolina near Greensboro, with the moisture moving east now.
