Six Taken to Hospital After Wreck in Bedford Co.

Bedford Co., VA - Six people are recovering after they were ejected from their SUV Friday night.

State police say the single vehicle crash happened in Bedford County on Route 460, just east of Nester Road just before 9:00 p.m. They say Thomasena Brown, 22, ran off the right side of the road and overcorrected, causing her vehicle to flip several times and ejecting six of the seven people inside.
We are told four were adults, one was 16-years-old, one was one-year-old, and another was 7-days-old.
Two helicopters transferred the injured to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. At last check Saturday, officials say all six are listed as stable.
Officials say Brown has been charged with reckless driving, driving with a suspended license and not securing the kids properly. Officials say six of the seven people inside the vehicle were not wearing seatbelts.
The reason for the crash is still unknown at this time.
