LYNCHBURG - Sanam Singh lost the first set but came back to defeat Eric Quigley 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) to win the Central Virginia Invitational Tennis Tournament.The match took an estimated 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete.Singh, a former UVa tennis player, has now won this tournament twice. His former coach Brian Boland said, "The CVITT is one of the finest men's opens in the country. Chris Johnson and his staff do an outstanding job running the tournament and each year under his leadership it has continued to only get better. The players and fans love the event and the level of play just continues to improve each year. We appreciate the opportunity to have many of our current and former players participate and I look forward to seeing this tournament continue into the future."Katernya Yergina won the women's singles title.Youseff Bouzidi took home the men's 35 and under championship and Mark Vines (45), Sam Hughes (55), and Winder Bill (65) also won their group.To see full brackets and results please CLICK HERE.
