Lynchburg, VA - With the help of very some excited elementary school students, Office Max made a teacher's day.
The company gave a box full of school supplies worth $1,000 to a Sheffield Elementary School teacher on Tuesday.
Each kid in the class received a box of new supplies as well.
Office Max chooses a teacher to honor each year through their 'A Day Made Better' program.
The principal nominated Sheila Haden for her 12 years of dedication and hard work at the school.
"Well every little bit we can get helps. Just any supplies we can get is helpful to replenish through the year. And the students get so much out of having really nice resources and facilities in the classroom," Haden said.
Office Max says on average a teacher spends $1,000 of their own money each year to pay for school supplies.
