Danville, VA - Senator Tim Kaine hosted an open house Thursday of his new regional office in downtown Danville.
Dozens of local officials were in attendance.
Kaine talked about the importance of regional offices and how it helps citizens have easy access to his representatives.
The senator also touched on how Danville's economic office has been great with bringing foreign companies to the area.
"They're looking where in North America can we come to really penetrate the North American market and for a variety of reasons, geography, quality of life, work ethic, this is a good place to do it. And the fact that other companies have come already and found it to be a good place, I'd love to work with officials here to tell that story," said Kaine.
Kaine's next stop was a tour of the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center in South Boston.
