Lynchburg, VA - You'll soon be able to go to the DMV and leave with your birth certificate.
State Senator Steve Newman announced a partnership between the Department of Motor Vehicles and Health Department at a news conference Tuesday morning at the Lynchburg DMV.
Next March, you'll be able to buy official paper birth certificates at all DMV locations.
You will also be able to get death, marriage, and divorce certificates at the DMV starting in January 2015.
The DMV has been able to electronically verify birth records for customers since April.
