Second Person Arrested in Connection to Battery Theft in Roanoke Co.

Roanoke Co., VA - Officials have arrested a second person in connection with the theft of about $20,000 in used car batteries from a Roanoke County business.

The Roanoke County Police Department arrested Andrew James Mandakis, 29, on Sunday. He has been charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of grand larceny.

The theft happened at Interstate Battery on West Main Street.

On November 8, Chelsea D. Thompson, 28, was arrested and charged with grand larceny in connection with the thefts.
