Saturday Sweep of UVa Big for the Hokies

Blacksburg - ACC Player of the Week Andrew Rash and Virginia Tech are back on track after beating UVa 2 out of 3. The Hokies may not be one of the BEST teams in the conference, but they've proven they can beat the likes of Florida State and UVa.

Virginia Tech pitcher Brad Markey said "We have the potential to be at that level. Just one of these games we're going to need to break out and get on this hot streak and I think we're going to be alright once we get there."

UVa shouldn't feel too badly about Saturday's doubleheader loss. The Cavs are still 38-and-8 with the second best record in the ACC.
Virginia Head Coach Brian O'Connor said "Our lineup is not defined by three or four players. There's really good players throughout the lineup that do some good things offensively. Certainly there's a lot of youth. There's a lot of second years in that group but they had gotten a lot of valuable experience last year and it's exciting for this year and exciting for the future knowing that a great majority of them will be in our uniform for a couple years."
