Salem Man Indicted Following Fatal I-581 Crash
Roanoke, VA - The man involved in a deadly crash on I-581 has been indicted by a grand jury in Roanoke.
The Roanoke Commonwealth's Attorney confirms that Timothy Wellons was indicted Monday on two counts of aggravated manslaughter, one count of misdemeanor DUI, and one count misdemeanor assault and battery.
State troopers say semi truck drivers Kenneth Graham, 54, of Lexington, North Carolina and Paul Golding, 36, of Salem died because of the accident.
Several witnesses told State Police that right before the crash, Wellons was driving erratically and lost control of his car, hitting an adjacent truck.
The truck then hit an oncoming semi. Two more cars plowed into the wreck.
