Salem Boys Basketball - ABC 13 Team of the Week

Today's high school Team of the Week is Salem boys basketball.
The Spartans won Tuesday night despite being hit with a technical BEFORE tip-off because they wore gray uniforms instead of the mandated WHITE for home teams. Potomac Falls made both free throws and Salem coach Kevin Garst was not allowed to stand on the sidelines the entire game. One Spartan player said that actually fired up the team.
Salem wins 76-69, the Spartans have won 14 of their last 16 after starting the season 4-and-8.
Kevin Garst, SALEM SPARTANS HEAD COACH, said "Our kids never stopped believing in the second half and we finally did get a couple of consistent stops and converted them to scores and made a run and our guys just really showed a lot of toughness at the end of the game."
Troy Mann, WHO LED SALEM WITH 26 POINTS, said "It's the most exciting thing I've ever participated in in my life. I've always dreamed about it."
