Runners Revving Up for Annual Turkey Trot in Lynchburg

Lynchburg, VA - The race to register has already started for the annual Turkey Trot.

On Wednesday, runners were already picking up their packets from the Holiday Inn in downtown Lynchburg.

Last year, nearly 2,000 people came out to the race to raise money for the Presbyterian Homes and Family.

The Youth Mile starts at 8 a.m. Thursday, followed by the 5K and Fun Walk at 9 a.m.

Organizers say they have a new race course downtown this year with music to motivate runners.

"It's really something great that the whole family can come do before Thanksgiving," said Kim Feldkamp, of the Presbyterian Homes & Family Services.

You can still register before the race Thursday morning. All events start in front of Wells Fargo on Main Street.
