Rocky Mount Replaces Fire Truck Lost In Fatal Wreck

Reporter: David Tate

Rocky Mount, VA - The Town of Rocky Mount has introduced its newest fire truck, which replaces the one lost after a fatal crash nearly two years ago. The new truck was delivered last Thursday.

The truck cost more than $391,000, which doesn't include all the loose equipment that goes on the vehicle.

The truck was paid for with insurance money received after the July 2010 crash.

That accident killed Chief Posey Dillon and former Chief Danny Altice.
