Roanoke, VA - The Board of Directors of Roanoke's Festival in the Park announced Sunday that the Memorial Day concert featuring 1964: The Tribute, will be free and open to the public.
The concert is scheduled to begin on May 27 at 2 p.m. with Roanoke native Jane Powell, and continues with the Sessions Band at 3 p.m. with 1964: The Tribute, taking the stage to conclude the event.
"We wanted to thank Roanokers for their years of support of Festival, and the return of 1964: The Tribute to the Festival stage felt like the best way to do it," said A.W. (Skip) Brown, Producer and Treasurer for Roanoke Festival in the Park, Inc.
Festival 2013 is being held at the River's Edge Sports Complex in downtown Roanoke along Reserve Avenue and Wiley Drive this year.
