Roanoke Police Seek Stop In store Robbery Suspect

Roanoke, VA - Roanoke Police are investigating a robbery that happened early Wednesday morning.According to police, it happened the Stop In store on Memorial Avenue.A store clerk told officers that the suspect, who was armed with a knife and was wearing a heavy black coat with a hood, walked into the store and demanded money from the cash register.{} The clerk complied.{} The suspect walked out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.{} Police say the store clerk was not hurt.{} The suspect was described as female and about 5'3", possibly 30 to 40 years of age.{} Any one with information can contact the Roanoke Valley Crime Line at 540-344-8500.
