Roanoke Police Arrest Paintball Shooting Suspect

Roanoke, VA - Roanoke Police have charged a man with misdemeanor assault and battery, resisting arrest, and driving on a revoked license after he allegedly shot someone in the face and back with a paintball gun.Police were initially called to the 1200 block of Chapman Avenue after a 56-year-old man from Roanoke, told officers he was riding his bicycle when the occupants of a newer model, four door, white Nissan drove up behind him and began shooting him with a paintball gun.{} He was shot in the back and in the face with the paintball gun.{} Almost immediately after broadcasting a lookout for the vehicle, an officer noticed a car matching its description nearby.{} Officers located the unoccupied car in the 1000 block of Campbell Avenue.Several witnesses came forward and said they saw three people get out of the car and run.{} Officers found 19 year old Dionte Raheem DeSean Bush on the porch of a home on 14th Street.{} After a foot pursuit, police took Bush into custody.
