Roanoke Police Arrest Man Suspected of Operating Meth Lab

Roanoke, VA - Roanoke City firefighters responding to reports of smoke coming from a hotel found what they say is a suspected portable meth lab.

Anthony Pecca was taken to jail Wednesday after crews showed up at the Airport Plaza Hotel following a smoke alarm.

There they found heavy smoke in a third floor room, but no fire.

A search warrant says the firefighters smelled an odor of chemicals and saw items commonly used to make meth.

Pecca was charged with manufacturing the drug and possession of ingredients to make the drug. He has bonded out of jail.
