Roanoke, VA - Roanoke's Natural Foods Co-op is about to hold a ribbon cutting for its new downtown location after another expansion.
Located on the historic Farmer's Market, they technically opened their doors in May.
They've been so busy working out all the kinks, however, the Co-op is now ready to hold the ribbon cutting on Thursday.
Management says filling a vital downtown need is important to their mission as well.
"So far it's been great. You know people have been excited about having a grocery store downtown. Think that's the biggest thing we have heard from folks is that they are so glad that we are here and that we have a lot of the options they are looking for," said John Bryant with Roanoke Natural Foods Co-op.
This is also the first year for the co-op's seven acre farm on the city's east side, which is one of the largest urban farming projects in the country.
