Roanoke Man Pleads No Contest to Murder, Could Get Life Sentence
Roanoke, VA - A Roanoke man could face life in prison after pleading no contest to stabbing and killing a woman last year.
Michael Iseman pleaded Friday to first degree murder and malicious wounding. The prosecutor dropped a capital murder charge against him. 57-year-old Jeanne Smith was found dead in a duplex on 7th Street in November of last year. 23-year-old Elizabeth Wood was also stabbed in the incident. An infant found in the house was not hurt.
Iseman will be sentenced on December 2.
