Roanoke Man Arrested Following Friday Night Shooting

Roanoke, VA - Police in Roanoke have made an arrest in a Friday night shooting.

Dominque Orlando Crowder, 23, of Roanoke, has been charged with malicious wounding and unlawful use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Roanoke Police Spokesperson Scott Leamon says the shooting happened Friday night at 9:15 in the 1100 block of Orange Avenue.

The victim, Antonio Deshawn Saunders, 27, of Roanoke, had to be transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital the night of the shooting.

Crowder is being held in the Roanoke City Jail.
