Roanoke, VA - The inclement weather affected flights in and out of Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport.
But it wasn't weather here causing the issues.
Just like a lot of folks, airport workers were called in bright and early Tuesday morning in the event there was need for weather related assistance. For many, it was pretty much business as usual.
Throughout the day, things in Roanoke were relatively quiet as air and runway temperatures stayed in the upper 30's.
Monday, the flight to D.C. was canceled already.
Tuesday's snow socking the country to our north forced cancellations on the Philadelphia route as well as tomorrow morning's flight to LaGuardia.
"Weather is happening in other locations like Philadelphia and New York and the Washington D.C. area so that is going to impact us as well," said Amanda DeHaven with the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport.
Just as the snow started to exit, more moderate snow developed over Roanoke.
Make sure you check with your airline for flights leaving and arriving at the airport Wednesday.
