Roanoke Fire Displaces Four
Roanoke, VA - An early morning house fire in Roanoke left several people without a home Saturday.
Officials say crews responded to a home in the 1100 hundred block of Chapman Avenue around 1:40 p.m.
Firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the attic. They had the flames under control in about 40 minutes.
No one was injured, but the Red Cross says four people were displaced as a result of the fire and damage. They are assisting them with meals, clothing, and lodging.
Damage to the home is estimated at $55,000.
The cause is still under investigation.
