Riverside Runners Hopes to Inspire Movement
Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg was designated a runner friendly community last year and now there is one more reason why the city has earned that distinction. Riverside Runners just moved down the street to the old Randolph College Bookstore.
The concept is to inspire movement so they've made the new store a runner friendly spot.
You can hydrate outside with your dog. Inside, there are free lockers so you can drop off your stuff off and go for a run down Rivermont Avenue or along the Blackwater Creek Trail.
There is a fueling station and Internet access too so people can hang out before or after a run.
Owner Jeff Fedorko wanted to create a one stop shop for people trying to live by the Live Healthy Lynchburg motto.
"This just provides for so many more people to be impacted by who we are and what Lynchburg is and has to offer in terms of fitness and opportunities to stay healthy," Fedorko said.
Riverside Runners could be a great place to watch the Genworth Virginia 10 Miler September 29.
It will be one of the hydration stops along the race route.
