Vinton, VA - Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused a restaurant fire Friday morning in Vinton. Roanoke County Fire and Rescue crews were called to the fire in the 700 block of Hardy Road. Fire fighters found the blaze in a rear storage room area. The first firefighter on scene reported heavy smoke coming from the building. Crews from the Vinton, Mount Pleasant, Read Mountain, Back Creek and Roanoke City stations responded. The fire was in a rear storage room area. Damage is estimated to be between $10,000 and $15,000. No injuries were reported. The restaurant says they are working to re-open.
