Blacksburg, VA - CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman has tweeted that Auburn offensive coordinator Scott Loeffler has been hired by Virginia Tech, although a Virginia Tech source would not confirm the hiring.
The 38-year-old Loeffler and offensive line coach Jeff Grimes were in Blacksburg Monday interviewing with the Hokies. It's the second time Loeffler has spoken with Tech about the presumed vacancy at offensive coordinator. Loeffler coached Tom Brady and Tim Tebow and was at Temple in 2011 and Auburn this past season.
Also, Hokies quarterback Logan Thomas has until Tuesday to decide if he'll return for his senior season with the Hokies. One report indicates he'll release a statement at 4 p.m. regarding his future.
