Report: Firearm-Related Homicides Declining in Virginia
Richmond, VA - Firearm-related homicides are declining in Virginia.
According to the state's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Virginia homicides fell by 32 percent in 2011.
Firearm related injuries declined by 28 percent as well.
There is also a new category in the homicide category that accounts for assault rifle homicides.
The report lists one assault rifle homicide in 2011.
