Remains of Three Dogs Found In Danville

Danville, VA -- Just days after a group of puppies were found in a dumpster in Danville, another possible case of animal cruelty has officials in the Southside asking questions.

Wednesday evening, the Danville Area Humane Society received a call from police about skeletal remains found just off on Eagle Springs Road. Humane Society employees arrived on the scene to find three decomposed dogs. Shelter director Paulette Dean tells us it's very rare to find so many remains in one location.

"It is very unusual to find that many in one place in a short period of time. It is has been many, many years since so many have been found in an area," says Dean.

A cause of death for the dogs has not been determined. The Humane Society is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
