Lynchburg, VA - A local realtor has started biking to work for a good cause.Gloria Scalise has started what she calls the Cancer-Ride-A-Thon to help raise money for a few agents in her office who are battling cancer. She is riding her bike to and from each house she is showing her clients and wants agents to sponsor each mile she bikes. She is also asking for the companies to match whatever their agents have pledged for every mile."I actually was just riding my bike one day and it wasn't any monumental moment, but I just was praying for my friends and thinking of ways I could help them and this is what I cam up with. Combining something that I love doing the most, with the people I love the most," said Scalise. Scalise plans to bike from five hundred to 750 miles in June alone. She says at the end of each month all the money she has raised will be collected and divided among those agents battling cancer.
