Roanoke, VA - Roanoke City Police are looking for who may be responsible for a string of recent car larcenies, and are reminding everyone to be more careful.
The trouble has been happening on Parkway Drive in the Raleigh Court section of the city.
Investigators say at least seven vehicles have had belongings taken from them between November 25 and November 27.
Other than location, all of the crimes have a common denominator: the cars were left unlocked.
"Obviously car larcenies, in most cases, are crimes of opportunity so just eliminating those opportunities will actually minimize becoming a victim in a case like this," Capt. Sam Roman with the Roanoke City Police Department.
Going into the holidays, Roanoke Police also remind people to not leave high value or other enticing items in plain view.
