Randolph Women Beat Washington & Lee 71-58
Lynchburg - The Randolph college women are off to their best start in nearly two decades and are 3-and-0 after Wednesday night's 71-58 home win over Washington & Lee.
The victory over the Generals is also the first time Randolph has won its ODAC opener since the 1997-98 season.
Jensen Hoover led Randolph's scoring with 20 points, adding 10 rebounds. The junior hit 8-of-10 shots on the night, incredibly BELOW her season average. Hoover entered the game shooting an incredible 87.5 percent from the floor. Freshman Brie Holdren out of Staunton River added 11 points, senior Emilee Dunton, one-time Brookville standout, chipped in 10 points and five assists.
Annie Gauf led Washington & Lee 13, Paige Corvino added 11.
