Randolph College's Colton Hunt Honored with Jostens Trophy

Salem - A proud, milestone day Thursday for senior guard Colton Hunt and Randolph College Athletics.

Hunt and Carissa Verkaik of Calvin College in Michigan were honored with the Jostens Trophy as the nation's outstanding Division 3 Basketball Players of the Year. Hunt has racked up numerous post-season awards, including ODAC and South Region Player of the Year, also the Capital One ACADEMIC All-American of the Year for Division 3. The Jostens Trophy honors the true Division 3 student-athlete, excellence on the court, in the classroom and in the community.

Hunt said "I'm definitely going to miss it. You know I've made a lot of really good friends there, built a lot of great connections with professors and staff members, so it's definitely going to be a place that will always be in my heart and I'll always remember it. But I'll certainly miss it."
