Randolph College Building New Plaza

Lynchburg, VA - Randolph College's getting a brand new brick-lined plaza thanks to a big donation.

The new plaza will be right next to the new student center, and both will open at the same time.

The plaza's called Michels Plaza after an alum from the class of '77 who made a donation for the construction.

The new space will have a fountain, seating and bricks honoring faculty.

The hope is the plaza will attract new students and make a beautiful campus even prettier.

"If both inside and outside you can have beautiful spaces, I think it becomes much more enjoyable - not only for students but for the whole campus community," said John Klein, RC's president.

Seating in the plaza looks like the seating at the school's Greek Theatre.
