Randolph Beats Roanoke to Stay Undefeated
Lynchburg - Senior Colton Hunt poured in a game-high 27 points, adding eight rebounds and seven steals, as Randolph beat Roanoke 73-61 in ODAC action Wednesday night at Randolph.
Randolph led by as many as 14 the first half before Roanoke charged back to within four midway of the second half. But the WildCats built their advantage back to 11 over the next several minutes and Randolph wins by 12.
Chris Battaglia scored 16 points and blocked a school-record five shots for Randolph. Mike Ehilegbu also chipped in 16 points as Randolph stays unbeaten, now 13-and-0 on the season, 5-and-0 in the ODAC. Kwasi Amponsah led Roanoke with 19 points, the only Maroon in double figures. Julian Ramirez scored 9 for the Maroons, along with eight rebounds, six assists and four steals. Roanoke is now 7-and-7 overall, but 0-and-5 in the ODAC.
