Rain Can't Stop Kids & Pros Football Camp

Lynchburg - Lots of area kids are learning the game of football from some talented, veteran instructors this week at Lynchburg City Stadium.

A little rain out there didn't stop night three of Buddy Curry's Lynchburg Kids & Pros Camp which runs through Thursday night.

Curry's NFL staff includes seven retired pros teaching not only football skills but character development. One of the former pros here all week is one-time Washington Redskin offensive lineman Joe Jacoby, who played 13 years in the NFL on some of Washington's best teams and who now coaches high school ball at Handley in Winchester.

Joe Jacoby, PLAYED 13 YEARS WITH REDSKINS, said "It's a joy to be out here because now these ages and seeing some of the excitement on their face and getting to work with a different age group and learning from them. It's a learning experience for me, one working for this age group when you're used to working with 16-17 year olds and college, you're up to 21 and 22-year-olds. So it refines your skills as far as being a coach."
