Pulaski Mom Charged With DUI After Crash Kills 4 Year Old Girl
Pulaski Co., VA - A Pulaski County mother has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs after a crash that killed her four year old girl. The Sheriff's Office says the wreck was on Friday on Lowmans Ferry Road. They say the Chevy sedan ran off the road, hit a tree and then rolled over into a field.35 year old Crystal Lefler and her four and two year old children were taken to the hospital. The four year old died on Monday.
Her sister is expected to survive, according to Pulaski County Sheriff, Jim Davis. While the accident is still under investigation Davis said Wednesday that his investigators are working with the Commonwealth while considering additional charges.Court records show Lefler has been on probation for a larceny conviction since January which includes a suspended three year prison sentence.
