Precision Fabrics in Vinton Lays Off 30 Workers
Vinton, VA - A Greensboro-based company with a plant in Vinton was forced to lay off 30 employees citing fewer military orders.
Precision Fabrics plant manager Mike Maust says the layoffs are due to five straight quarters of losses that reach into the double digits.
The company produces a variety of specialized fabrics for civilian and military needs alike.
Officials say 170 people are still employed by the company at their Vinton factory.
