Pittsylvania County Teen Arrested for Having Loaded Gun on School Campus
Pittsylvania Co., VA- A Pittsylvania County teenager was arrested Wednesday for bringing a loaded shotgun onto campus.
A student resource officer at Dan River High School was told by students and staff members that a suspended student had been seen on campus. The officer located the student sitting in his parked car on school grounds near the football field.
The student was found with a loaded shotgun and additional ammunition, as well as a knife, brass knuckles and untaxed alcohol. The student has been charged with a felony count of being in possession of a loaded firearm while on school grounds.
He is being detained at the W.W. Moore Junior Juvenile Detention Home in Danville.
