Pittsylvania Co. Supervisors Approve Tobacco Preservation Grant
Pittsylvania Co., VA - Supervisors approved a grant to preserve pieces of history in Pittsylvania County.
Preservation Virginia representative Sonja Ingram asked the board to approve seven thousand dollars in funding for a Tobacco Barn Preservation project.
Ingram has worked to survey barns and educate the community on the significance of the historical landmarks.
Board of Supervisors Chairman Marshall Ecker agreed the barns are an important reminder of Virginia's agricultural heritage.
