Pittsylvania County-- Crews have been very busy at the Moses Building in Chatham, to make room so that the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office can expand.
County Administrators had to move out of the third floor of the building after their offices had mold and water damage last year. Now, renovations are underway allowing the Sheriff's Office to occupy all three floors of the building.
Sheriff Mike Taylor said they will be moving their criminal investigations department and part of their records office there. Crews are fixing window sills and part of the roof. They will also add a new generator.
"We really appreciate the opportunity," said Sheriff Mike Taylor. "It will help us for future growth as well as our present needs today."
The renovations are expected to be done by the middle of August.
